Q: What genre(s) do you enjoy playing the most?

Colin: Mostly blues and alternative rock—stuff that hits emotionally and leaves space to be expressive. I like when music feels a bit raw and real.

Colin: Yeah, I’ve been into Gary Clark Jr. and Kingfish lately. There’s just a way they blend soul, blues, and rock that keeps pulling me back in.

Colin: Definitely Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Q: What’s been the biggest challenge for you as a guitarist?

Colin: Honestly, just getting out of my own way. It’s easy to get caught up in perfection and forget that it’s supposed to be fun.

Colin: I usually walk away for a bit, listen to something different, or jam with no pressure. Letting go of expectations helps the ideas come back naturally.
